The next book from the series, was a great challenge for the author. In 1928 in The Hague, started the second Chess Olympiad. When it was finished there were very few keepsakes, information and photos… It seems to be mysterious, the more so as the sports level equalled it from London, and in 1928 the media was in possession of new technology which allowed the filming of events and broadcast it across the ocean. The political- fiction thread was also interesting. Did the Americans want to prove anything? Why didn’t the team from the UK appear?

The second part of the series is even better, nicer and more interesting. A lot of great games of the Olympiad were analyzed, commented on and also appeared in diagrams. It is incredible how the masters could “cheat” an opponent in critical situations and contestants who were less experienced ruined a certain win for them and their teams! When teams have to play for the victory, anything can happen…
