Publisher Description

David was a shepherd boy. One night, a bear appeared to steal a lamb. David took a stone and putting it into a sling he killed the bear, saving the lambs. Another time a lion sprang from behind a rock, seized a lamb, and started to run away. But David went after him and because he knew God was with him, he did not fear. He hit the lion with a stone, knocking it down, but the stone didn’t kill the lion. Instead, it came after David, but catching the lion by its beard and using his shepherd’s staff, David struck the lion until it was dead. Just as the sheep trusted David to care for them, so David trusted God to take care of him. There is much more to consider in the life and times of King David.
