Love's Legacy

David Gardener is a Professor of Revolutionary War History at the University of Virginia. His life since his divorce two years ago has primarily revolved around his two daughters and the success he has enjoyed in his career.  A quiet and unassuming man, David loves his garden, his daughters, and his privacy. Fearful of rejection or another relationship failure, he avoids romance completely. Buried deep in his psyche is the tormented little boy who was the victim of his father's inability to express love or acceptance for his only son.

When David meets the beautiful and talented Nate Reese the long buried spark of attraction awakens within him with frightening force.  His desire to form a relationship with the young associate producer is matched only by his fear of pursuing this new attraction.

But Nate possesses the kind of open and loving heart that David instinctively knows lead him to the healing and peace he so desperately needs. Struggling to find a way to safely connect to Nate, David is torn between the safety of solitude and the damaging consequences of embracing his needs.

Two men living on opposite sides of the country in two completely different worlds fight their way past external obstacles and profound inner doubts toward the love they both yearn to find.
