Magic Wants

I've been called many things — most of them are bad, but all are true. I was freed from jail for a crime I didn't commit because only I could catch a monster terrorizing a rural community.

Forced to partner with the man who believes I'm capable of mass murder might prove more than I can handle. The destroyed trust puts us at odds when the mounting danger demands we support each other.

Tempers flare and sparks fly. I don't know if I want to throttle him or kiss him, but I do know that I need him as much as he needs me.

If we cannot overcome these challenges, then more lives will be lost and the shadows will rise again.
