Never Eat Dog Butt (And Other Life Lessons‪)‬

Never Eat Dog Butt (and Other Life Lessons) was written/gathered over a period of several years.  It was never intended to be a detailed reminiscence or biographical study.  Instead, it was just the jotting down of some of the funny things our kids would come up with as they were growing up.  


My wife, Kim, started sharing her observations on an Internet discussion board but with the advent of Facebook, she switched to shorter, more succinct entries.  Regardless the format, these blurbs capture just a little of the uniqueness of Matthew and Johnny.  


I’m glad Kim had the forethought to record those moments.  It is rare to have the opportunity to look back with such clarity.  Memories fade as the boys move through adolescence into manhood, but at least we have the stories to remember the rambunctious little boys they used to be.  


Those of you with kids will probably find common themes here.  If you don’t have kids, maybe you’ll look at this as a cautionary tale.  Either way, we laughed at these stories—we hope you do, too!
