Marvin has put together this book (with lots of help) and it is designed as a how to guide. Not as a definitive or exhaustive explanation of the processes but a starting block for your own journeys into Pitfired Pottery. It will cover how to fire your pots with wood in a naturalistic exploratory way.



Pitfiring or pit fired pottery is probably the earliest method of firing pottery known to man. Early examples have been dated back to 3200BC and most probably before!
