Prodigal

Life was ever a victory paired with a defeat.

Let's play a game. We'll call it Prodigal and make up the rules as we go. Sure, some rules never change—unless the Senatorial Council decrees. There are rules yet to be written around the Veil and within the Sea of Souls, but here in the Imperium of Mankind, one creates their own reality or dies trying.

The goal is simply to make it home in one piece. Everyone belongs somewhere. That's a rule. The universe is a big place. If you can't fit in, well, that's a disease far more common than you think.

Was that my problem? Yes and no. Wrong didn't come close to describing my existence, and yet, I was in it for the duration—no take backs, play it to the end, that sort of thing.

Terra wants me gone, the Warmaster wants me back, and the Inquisition wants me dead.
What can I do? I'm going home.
