Inara's allure has never made anyone want to kill her, until now.

When a blue-eyed warrior tries to skewer her to the tarmac with a freaking sword, it isn't even the craziest thing to happen. Her life is falling apart and she doesn’t know why.

Aaron has been dreaming of Inara's death since he learned of her existence. Obeying the gods' wishes for her demise will be his absolute pleasure. He hunts her down, prepared to end her, but she isn't the monster he was expecting to find. For the first time in his life, he goes against the will of the gods and offers Inara salvation. It comes in the form of a gilded cage but the alternative is death.

Inara doesn't have a choice, since Aaron’s the only thing between her and the other hunters on her trail. Aaron hates her for reasons he won’t divulge but at least she’s getting answers to questions that have plagued her life.
