Arleigh Burman blames herself for her twin sister Autumn's strange disappearance. She should have been on that camping trip. But every night since her sister's vanishing, Arleigh has had the same nightmare: glowing orange eyes and a lurking figure at the site. With the police giving up, Arleigh believes that her sister's life depends on facing the monster herself.
