St Custard's Timeslip

Esme’s brother had gone too far this time. Not only had he hacked into her facebook account so he could pretend to be her and insult each and every one of her friends, he’d also told one of the boys she loved him.  The mysterious school Counsellor had said that he would be punished but what did that matter? Benjamin wanted to be suspended so he could get onto the next level of Call of Duty. But when he finds himself in “time out” quite literally, he begins to learn about old school punishment in the days of Billy Bunter when boys like him were regularly handed “six of the juciest” or worse. Esme follows her brother only to find that girls aren’t allowed in schools at all unless they are scullery maids. Although both of them think that their Mother has signed them over to a reality television show, Matron eventually persuades them that they really have travelled back to the nineteen forties. And if they are ever to get home they must unravel the Counselor’s riddle and escape from the St Custard’s Timeslip.
