The Dark Knight Rises, the final chapter of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, completes the saga of a hero's rebirth and sacrifice for the city that is his legacy. Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is now a wounded hero who has vanished into a private realm of self-doubt and sorrow.
