You Think I'm Serious, but I'm Joking

pruning is supposed to encourage growth

the gardener lops off a flower
he cuts off another and another
until the plant is bare
then he puts down his snippers
and walks inside into the house

"you think I'm serious, but I'm joking" is a collection of poetry that details the process of becoming bent, from three angles: public, private, and somewhere very different. Everything is not as you see it, but sometimes a rainbow is refracted after rain.
