Publisher Description
At the stroke of midnight on my twentieth birthday, he comes in darkness and in blood. Elio Titone, underboss of Toronto's most brutal Cosa Nostra famiglia.
Turns out my father is massively in debt to the Sicilian mafia. Elio has come for one thing and one thing only – to claim what he is owed.
And what he's owed is me.
My captor is dangerous and demanding. Tortured, possessive, and wealthy beyond belief. He traps me in his gilded, violent world and offers me no hope of escape. But the longer I spend with him, with his dark eyes and scarred hands, the less I want to claw my way out of his cage.
When new enemies threaten me, I see a side of Elio I didn't know existed – a ruthlessly protective side. He forces me to do the one thing that guarantees my safety, even if it means I'll forever be his prisoner.
I'll no longer be shackled by debt, but by marriage vows.
Because he'll make me his bride.
Ideal for fans of Neva Altaj, Gabrielle Sands, and Rina Kent, A Debt So Ruthless is a steamy age-gap mafia romance featuring a morally grey mafia boss hero who becomes obsessed with the innocent, inexperienced heroine. Themes include captivity and forced proximity, hate to love, older hero younger heroine age gap, enemies to lovers, forced marriage, and other dark romance tropes. It is part one of a complete duet.

Amazing!
Elio Titone is a dangerous, vicious, rich and powerful man who will stop at nothing to get things done his way. Even more, he’s possessive, obsessive and so deliciously dominant. And he’s fiercely protective of what’s his. But there’s also another side of Elio, which he doesn’t show very often - the one of a generous, thoughtful and caring man. Elio is not a good man, but I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him.
Deirdre O’Malley is a wonderful young woman who I loved so, so much! She’s kind, compassionate and caring and her love for music made her even more endearing. Deirdre might appear quiet at first, but I loved her sarcastic and spunky side. Even more, I loved her courage to stand up for herself even when she was facing the most dangerous man in the city. She’s lived all her life in the outskirts of a dangerous world. Until her twentieth birthday, when she’s thrown right in the middle of it.
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Elio and Deirdre! The moment Elio hears Deirdre playing the violin, he knows she’s his because she’s the only one who truly touches the depths of his dark soul. So, he patiently waits years to collect the debt he’s owed from her father - her. And now that he finally has her, nothing and no one will take her from him. I adored those two together! There is so much tension and I loved the constant push and pull, the bickering, the bargaining and the teasing. Even more, I loved how fiercely protective Elio was of his little Songbird but also so supportive of her studies and development. And even though Deirdre was doing her best to resist the strong feelings Elio awakens in her, he is just so irresistible. Oh, the character development of both Deirdre and Elio is absolutely spectacular. And the spice… The passionate moments they shared were off-the-charts hot and I couldn't get enough!
Overall, the story is an incredible start of the series and absolutely loved every single page of it! I cannot wait to see how Elio and Deirdre’s story will continue!
