CASE DESCRIPTION This case examines a proposed new auditor who is considering accepting a new audit client. The student then searches the professional literature regarding auditor changes. In particular, students are required to research Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) regarding changing auditors and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) form 8-K disclosure rules for auditor changes.
