Publisher Description
Dear Editor: With the publication of Making the Grade (Drug Strategies, 2000), the NIDA "red book," and the establishment of model program lists by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention and the Department of Education, there is an increased willingness for practitioners to adopt research-based practices. Policy statements such as the Safe and Drug-Free Schools' principles of effectiveness increase the impetus on the part of schools and communities to adopt and implement promising and proven programs.
