Eerie Stillness And Other Short Stories

I have been a blogger for some two years and committed myself to writing one article each week. The result is that I have a collection of stories and poems to share with you.

Most of the stories are concealed extracts from my life. Many times, when relating stories of incidents in my life, people have commented: ‘You certainly have had an interesting life; why don’t you write a book?’ To those people I wished I could face them now and say, ‘Here it is folks and thanks for the encouragement.’

Interspersed between all these stories are seven prose/poems written in my best medieval English and concern the character of Sir Peter James, The Bold Knight. All are in the fettle of fictional medieval romance, spiced here and there with a wee touch of humour.

Underlying all the stories and poems in this book is the ethos of encouragement on which my blog site is founded.

This is my first attempt at publishing a book and deep inside me I am hoping that you will enjoy what you read as much as I had pleasure in writing each word.
