Enjoy the Journey

Born and raised in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Perry McKinney has lived a life of colorful adventure including three decades as a true hobo. In Enjoy the Journey, Perry gives us vignettes of the full arc of his life: from a settled and successful family life, through devastating loss and pitching it all to travel on foot, by thumb and by rail, and finally back through healing to a quiet and creative life in the city of his birth, where he walks miles daily, works summers at the city’s boat launch on Peirce Island, and writes and paints. Perry figures in many of the side-splitting comedy routines of son Juston McKinney, who performs coast-to-coast and has made numerous television appearances.
