Frostbite

On the run for her life, Cordelia Agnew flees to the furthest reaches she can afford to get to, which turns out to be a remote village close to the Scottish border. With the few belongings she can't bear to part with and her beloved dachshund, Cordelia settles at Braidwood Hall, a lonely manor with a chilling past. Fortunately, Cordelia isn't one for creepy stories and superstition, especially when she has the village's annual Christmas festival to look forward to.

But someone else is looking forward to the holidays, too. Nicholas Waterhouse has been discreetly stopping by for the festival and keeping an eye on Braidwood Hall for the last hundred years. He's always kept his distance from its tenants, yet there's something about Cordelia that calls to him.

Or maybe it's just her blood that calls to him.

Whatever it is, Nicholas is intrigued and just dying to make her acquaintance. For the first time in a century, he might actually have a reason to truly celebrate this Christmas season.
