Old Stories from Soul Avenue

Introduction to, "Old Stories from Soul Avenue" What if your sister did not have standards for the guys she dated What if your father was not around to provide supervision and support What if your parents did not communicate What if you did not communicate with your girlfriend or boyfriend? And what if you did not know anything about African American history? Would you be Lost? These are some of the questions that I will review, "Old Stories from Soul Avenue" "Old Stories from Soul Avenue", is based on seven short stories of Hope, African American History, and Self-Help. Using both, a fiction and non-fiction view, I will explore different scenarios, which will include communication between new acquaintances; lack of supervision for young men and women; and professionals providing words of encouragement. Although the book can be read humorously, it was created to up-lift the African American community
