Online Learning Summit

On May 14, 2012, the Center for Teaching Excellence at Virginia Commonwealth University organized an inaugural conference, the VCU Online Learning Summit, about teaching and learning online. Organized as a series of paper presentations followed by participant roundtable sessions, the central purpose of the Summit was to generate meaningful dialogue about key issues and questions related to the two strand topics related to effective practice. The conference underscored the importance of online learning in reaching the goals outlined by the university's Quest for Distinction.
