“A Passage to India” was considered as one of the 100 great works of English Literature by the Modern Library.
The book won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for fiction in the year 1924.
It was also included in the list of TIME Best English language Novels from 1923 to 2005.
It is highly descriptive novel based on Forster’s experiences in India. The title of the book was borrowed from the poem “Leaves of Grass” written by Walt Whitman.
