This is a heartbreaking story and very painful to read, but it is an important story and has definitely given me a different perspective on the Amish. The religion seems to be organized in a way that protects sexual predators and silences children and women, which is incredibly disturbing, but also not surprising. These isolated cult-like religions seem to have that in common.
