Publisher Description

ABSTRACT Violence has been described as a public health epidemic in the United States. Thus, it becomes the responsibility of forensic psychologists to conduct thoughtful examinations of the etiology, course, and treatment of violent behavior. Emphasis must be placed on prevention, and professionals must intervene at an early age. This article documents theories that may be used to explain the phenomenon of violent individuals and outlines efforts that may be attempted to promote positive changes.
