Robert Coverdale's Struggle

Publisher Description

Robert salvages some wood planks and constructs a crude raft. As he paddles the raft toward the mainland, the raft collapses. He starts to swim the remaining distance but is too exhausted. Luckily he is rescued by the "hermit of the cliff". The hermit reveals to Robert that he had lost his wife tragically, and in addition, someone had abducted his beloved five-year old son. The hermit suspects that his cousin, Charles Waldo is responsible. The hermit asks Robert to investigate his son’s abduction. Robert gladly takes on this task, and works hard to find his new friends son.
