As the realm dissolves into chaos following the death of the Viking king, Liv finds herself at a crossroads. She could leave her father's sunlit jungle and fulfill her twisted destiny, placing a crown atop Erik's head at the cost of her own life; or she could remain in a magical bubble, brewing up potions and blissfully living out the rest of her days.

The choice is clear, at least, if cruel. Yet prophecy is a double-edged sword, and those fateful words come with a hidden bite. Crowns attract all sorts of things, and rarely do they come with good intentions. There are secrets buried in the jungle beyond anything she could imagine, blades dipped in shadow and curses whispered in the dark.

Two futures lie ahead of her. But only one of them ends with her breathing. The land is desperate for a good and rightful king, and a single girl stands in between.
