Dear Daniel

Descripción editorial

Dear Daniel is the story of Blanche Martin, a 17 year old from Slinger, Wisconsin. She’s the daughter of Elizabeth Martin who was diagnosed with inoperable cancer three years ago. Blanche is trying to cope with the fact that her mother is dying. When her mother is finally on her deathbed, she tells Blanche that her entire life has been a lie. The father that Blanche was raised with is not actually her father and that her real father was the one true love her mother ever had, his name is Daniel Flynn. You see, Danny Flynn was a bad boy, a wild child, the neighborhood terror, but all of that changed when he met Elizabeth Martin. Throughout the story of Dear Daniel we see the love that Elizabeth and Daniel shared for each other that ultimately ended with Elizabeth getting pregnant with Blanche. Elizabeth’s mother never approved of Daniel, so when she found out her 18 year old daughter was pregnant with an older man’s baby, she forced Elizabeth to push the man she loved away, and trick another man into loving her for the sake of her unborn daughter. So now here we are, Elizabeth is dying, she only has a few days left, and her final wish is to say goodbye to the only man she ever loved, Daniel Flynn. It's up to her daughter Blanche and Blanche’s best friend Oliver to travel the country in search of Daniel, in the hopes they can bring him home, and make it back in time to say goodbye to Elizabeth before she falls into oblivion.
