Ferrets in Space Class and Other Stories

Descripción editorial

“Ferrets in Space Class” is about a school for gifted astronauts-in-training. Teenage firecracker Angel struggles to focus around her snarky and careless peer Jonah. This short story follows the unlikely camaraderie of Angel and Jonah as they venture to detention.

“The Balcony Room” is about a 40-something therapist, Irv, who travels to see his kooky mother in California. It has been four years since he lost his father to illness, and now he’ll do anything to preserve his family. This story features the highs and lows of a mother and son’s conversation as they mourn under the sunrise together.

“Not Alone” revisits Angel in another universe, where she has made it as a doctor for space missions. When talented aircraft-mechanic Jonah gets injured on the job, Angel hangs back to take care of him while their crew explores an unusual planet.
