Reegan’s Story Of Captain Tom

The Story of Captain Tom was written by 8-year-old Reegan Davies. The story is from her eyes, as she was so inspired by Captain Tom Moore’s achievement of completing 100 laps around his garden in aid of the NHS. Captain Tom Moore raised over £28 million, with his original goal being £1000.
 
Captain Tom Moore helped share Reegan’s stage school video titled ‘it must be love for the NHS’, that is when the beautiful journey of supporting one another began. After seeing Captain Tom Moore on the news, Reegan found out that his special birthday was approaching and wanted to thank him and wish him a happy birthday. This is when Reegan came up with the #makeacardfortom idea. Reegan wanted to get everybody involved and, in doing so, Captain Tom Moore received thousands of cards for his birthday and was not only Reegan’s hero but the nations hero too.
