Upper Mene, a beautiful idyllic place in the Heart of England, where the villagers are typical hard working British families, comfortable and safe with the community around them. Everything you would expect from a small, neighbourhood in a quiet, rural area.

Except for one thing.

Mene Hill stands guard over the village, a malevolent, ugly and evil reminder of an ancient and lonely terror, which has been waiting for its time to wreak havoc and destruction. It’s been quiet, for a while. But now it has awoken.

The first murder, a farmer is found dead on top of the hill, pinned to ground by his own pitchfork. Enlisted by Emily Watts the farmers daughter, DS Stead and PC Forbes begin to investigate other strange happenings in the village, the local vicar begins to make deadly house calls, locals reporting seeing glowing blue lights, huge vicious black dogs, and large holes appearing seemingly swallowing people up.

The small community have to stand together to face the deadly truth, a truth that is steeped in pure evil, ancient witchcraft, and insane insight, a truth that will bring them to question everything they have ever believed in, and it’s only just begun…
