Tangled Betrayals

1830 London – Mary Ball, a seamstress, had worked the past year on her wedding dress while awaiting the return of her betrothed, the wealthy American, James Parker. But to her horror, the man she’d loved returned with a wife already on his arm. She soon learned James and his new wife live in Baltimore, Maryland, on the plantation that he had promised to her. 

     Had James ever loved her? After a couple of years, Mary decides to leave England to start a new life in America, only to find she must face more loss, danger and lies. In the midst of her coming to terms with her discoveries, she learns James has become a widower. Could there be a second chance?
