THE SEVEN YEAR REMODEL

This novel is the result of a catharsis: a psychological release of pent-up frustrations resulting from the last remodel I hope I ever do, ever, ever , ever! This novel is a fictionalized saga based upon real events and real interactions. Originally the challenges facing  the main characters, Kevin and Marvella Tensela, were pretty straight forward, resembling several home remodel my wife and I had endured over the years. However, it became increasingly more enjoyable to treat with hyperbole the characters the Tenselas met and the challenges they had to confront. It became pleasurable to exaggerate or embellish the inept, disgruntled, dishonest, and dysfunctional nature of those whom anyone who wishes to remodel a home might encounter. Thus, the catharsis.  It worked, too.
