Captain Brutsel tossed the autopsy report at Malcolm “All this sounds like a cock and bull story but I see no beaks or horns. Four shot stiffs and an intact fifth signed by Daffodils. No clues. The informer called from a payphone. Jimmy died of a heart attack. Why was he was there? How will we know? We are the ducks thrown in to quack good luck to the cock and bull!”

Malcolm scratched himself but the itching feeling persisted. It existed in his heart.
