Customer Reviews
Good book, learned a lot, when it opened.
The book crashed my iPad 6 alot, even when iBooks was the only app open. Besides that, it’s useful. If it physically existed, I would use it on my coffee table.
An essential reference for those who write about Apple technologies
I have long-wanted the Apple Style Guide to be released as an iBook (thanks, APD!). Whether you are a software developer or someone who writes about Apple technologies, the Apple Style Guide is a must-have reference. Used internally by all corners of Apple (are there corners on the Loop or at Apple Park?), the ASG is your guide to getting it right.
Indispensable
If you write, produce videos, or author documentation related to Apple, the Apple Style Guide is indispensable. Every element of the interface for Mac products is described, from panes to panels, to touch gestures. The style guide is quite comprehensive, coming in around 475 pages, covering usage or stylistics, and provides examples throughout, and cross-references. There were many interface element descriptors and usage examples throughout the guide which I wrote incorrectly prior to reading the guide, making this a must-have for anyone serious about properly documenting and describing the Apple ecosystem.
