A paranormal take on the age-old Hades-Persephone love story
There’s this moment when you die.
This final sliver of time when the Grim Reaper comes to lead you through to the other side. When you are bathed in the glee he exudes at introducing another soul to his cold, dark world, and you have a split second of complete and utter fear at what lies ahead. Fear of the afterlife you have no control over. Fear of the Reaper.
But not all deaths end the same way.
And the Reaper isn’t who you think he is.
This is the story of how I died…and how Death himself brought me back to life.
KISS OF THE REAPER is a standalone fantasy novel that spins off from Ellis Leigh's bestselling Feral Breed Motor Cycle club paranormal romance series. Readers who have read the FBMC will recognize many of the characters, but you do not have to read FBMC to enjoy this love story between the Grim Reaper and the dead witch he can't stop obsessing about.
A thrilling paranormal romance read
Amber, a witch with future sight, has gone to the summerlands and is spending time with her ancestors just trying to pass the time until her sisters join her, unknowingly being watched by Grim, a reaper in the land of the dead. As the story progresses her sight shows her more than she’d like, a twist in time sends her running, and a trip to the land of the living puts them in more than physical danger. Ellis Leigh gave the reader a thrilling paranormal romance read in Kiss of the Reaper. I have waited for Amber to find her lobster and now she has.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Interesting twist on Hades/Persephone
It’s a unique experience to read a story about someone already dead. Amber is in her witchy afterlife and misses her sisters. When she reads in her cards that a sister is in danger, her perilous journey in the In-Between begins. She meets up with the Grim Reaper who escorts her to her end goal of saving her sister. Grim is scary, mysterious and hot. He’s all alpha but definitely sweet in his own way. The enemies to lovers tension is a nice build up and I definitely felt the chemistry between the two. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it!
