Publisher Description
When a fateful accident erases a troubled marriage from memory, a scientific breakthrough gives love one extraordinary second chance.
Three years ago, scientist Emery Finch did something completely out of character: She got married. To Luca—the impossibly charming landscaper she met on one blistering night in Vegas.
But now, Emery is consumed by her top- secret research—missing dinners, forgetting anniversaries, and promising herself Luca will understand once her discoveries come to light. Until the unthinkable happens: A tragic accident takes Luca from her.
Desperate not to lose him, Emery breaks every rule, using the classified technology she’s developed to bring him back to life. And Luca would probably thank her for it...if only he could remember her.
It may be a miracle of science, but for Emery, it’s her one shot at a fresh start. And this time, she won’t waste it—because true love is always worth reviving.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Christina Lauren puts an inventive spin on second-chance romance in this emotional pageturner about the risks we take for the people we can’t bear to lose. Three years into her marriage to Luca, brilliant scientist Emery Finch has become so consumed by her secretive research that she’s losing sight of everything else. When a devastating accident changes both of their lives forever, she’s forced to confront the consequences of her choices—and gains an extraordinary opportunity for a fresh start. It’s a clever setup (with some unexpected science-fiction vibes) that explores relationship questions from a new angle: What would it feel like to fall in love with the same person all over again? And if you had the chance to start over, what would you do differently? The result balances humor, suspense, and big emotional stakes while delivering plenty of twists (and a little spice) along the way. Ambitious and surprising, The Romance Revival is a love story about finding your way back to the person who matters most.

Tougher read
Typically have enjoyed CLo’s books but this was a book I flipped through sort of fast towards the end just to be done with it. The science plot was was pretty unbelievable and I don’t think the book was speaking about science in a sophisticated way. It wasn’t a good romance novel but wasn’t thought provoking enough to be classified as good sci-fi or mystery. I would recommend reading when available at the library vs. buying.

The more I read, the less I was interested. I just got to the “fateful accident” mentioned in the blurb, and I have such a bad case of the icks over this God complex, I can’t continue. I don’t even want to force myself to try, and that’s saying something.
Loved!!
I loved this book. It was different, but I loved the characters!
