The Great Penguin & Equator Bear War

Long ago, near the warm middle of the Earth, penguins and equator bears lived side by side. Penguins liked things tidy. Bears liked things comfortable.

But when pebbles went missing and snowballs began to fly, a small disagreement grew into the most dramatic waddling war in history.

With battalions of sliding penguins and towering bears armed with snowballs and pebbles, the two sides quickly realized something important: sometimes the bravest choice is not to fight, but to cool off.

After agreeing to spend 10,000 millennia at opposite ends of the Earth, the bears eventually became known as polar bears. But the penguins? Penguins never gave up who they were.

A humorous and heartwarming picture book about conflict, compromise, identity, and learning when it's time to take a breath.
