The Quiet Sanction

Everett Rusk knew the sanctions list had been fixed.

Hours before a closed Senate Intelligence briefing, the senior Treasury official is found dead in his apartment. The official story is suicide. His secure phone is wiped. His briefing binder is gone. His final call never appears in the log.

Across Washington, Jak Elias receives a message through a dead channel once used by his murdered wife.

Leona was right. Quiet sanction is active.

Jak used to design the systems powerful people hide behind: sanctions timing, bank freezes, sealed indictments, offshore ownership, private intelligence, and public fear. Then Leona uncovered how those systems had been turned into weapons. She died for it. Jak was blamed.

Now the same machine is moving again.

A private intelligence firm is shaping a sanctions package to protect selected assets, destroy witnesses, push defense contracts, and force the U.S. government into action against the wrong target. DOJ prosecutor Rachel Kline wants evidence she can take into court. Jak wants the truth released before more people die.

Neither of them has time.

Because the quiet sanction has already begun.
