My Poems My Soul

This debut collection introduces a compelling new voice in poetry and prose: John Loraine. Raised in Philadelphia, where he still lives, writes, and raises his family, Loraine draws from the complexities of everyday life with honesty and intensity. Through intimate observations, lived experience, and a stream-of-consciousness style, these poems explore struggle, confusion, addiction, hardship, love, and the search for meaning. Loraine confronts social injustice and inequality while reflecting on writing itself, personal resilience, and the ways people seek comfort in difficult moments. The result is a raw, thoughtful collection of poems shaped by experience, philosophy, and an unwavering passion for language.
