The Devil Next Door

Instead, it gave me Julius Moskov.

My new neighbor is the kind of man people warn you about. He's charming when he wants to be, unsettling when he isn't, and somehow seems to notice things about me I never told him. Then I realize the cameras around his house aren't watching the street.

They're watching me.

I should stay away from him. I know that.

But when a photograph of Julius with a missing woman appears at my door with a warning to stay away from him, I can't leave it alone. Especially when I learn that Sarah Miller disappeared from the same house I'm living in now.

The more I dig, the stranger Cedar Ridge becomes. Everyone seems to know something they're not telling me, and someone clearly doesn't want me asking questions.

Julius tells me he's not the man I think he is.

I don't know if I believe him.

But lately, I'm starting to wonder if the man watching me from across the street is actually the one I should be afraid of.

Is Julius the danger… or is he protecting Claire from something worse?
