1933. The luxury liner SS Etoile sets sail from Southampton en route for New York. On board is Lily Sutton who is escaping the brutality of her failed marriage, and looking to begin life anew in America.
Lily is caught between the privileged world she's left behind and her new-found love, which has given her the strength and courage to be herself.
