Adele Sharp is an FBI agent working in Europe after the death of her husband. She has a high solve rate and is good at catching the criminals except the serial killer who killed her mother, mentor, lover and friend. He has been captured but he has caused her pain and then he’s freed. With cases of hanging across the countryside she can’t stop for him . The hangman has been one step ahead but can Adele figure out what is causing him to hang people from high places? Her intuition is leading her on a slippery path. And the serial killer has ditched the detectives who were watching him. Can the American Princess pull it together and solve the mysteries? I cannot get enough of Adele Sharp. Blake Pierce never disappoints. I love her twists, turns and non stop thrill rides. I cannot get enough of this series and can’t wait to read what happens next.
Everything I’ve waited for!
Left to Lure, book 12 in the Adele Sharpe series, left me breathless. I could not get to the end fast enough. After the way book 11 ended with Adele coming face-to-face with The Painter, I was glad this book picked right back up where they left off. From there things moved quickly and Adele and John were off to pursue a killer with a tragic history. Throughout the case John continued to prove himself as a man to be counted on for Adele, not to coddle her, but to support her and see her when she was strong and weak. And what a favor she did for him in return! The climactic ending to this entry was overwhelmingly satisfying and helped to remind us that sometimes the monsters that chase us are pathetically small in the end.
