When their flirtation compromises her own reputation, Poppy shocks everyone by accepting his proposal—only to find that her new husband offers his passion, but not his trust.

All his life, he has held the world at arm's length…but the sharp, beguiling Poppy demands to be his wife in every way that matters. Still, as desire grows between them, an enemy lurks in the shadows. Now if Harry wants to keep Poppy by his side, he must forge a true union of body and soul, once and for all.

Poppy’s story
Loved the way 2 people took a chance on each other despite a shaky start and found love . The author’s description of Harry’s transformation from cold, brusque man to a considerate warm man was beautifully done. At first you can’t help despising manipulative Harry but in the end you feel like rooting for him as he found the ability to think & feel & be vulnerable. Well developed character. Poppy showed how intelligent she is in the beginning. Wish that was more played out through the story. Didn’t read anymore intelligent spoutings after the beginning. After all, that’s what captured Harry’s interest. She should’ve been given some admin, manager, CEO position at the hotel to show how intelligent she is.
