Can he make this moment last a lifetime?
It’s been three years since Padraig lost his wife and since then, he’s been sleepwalking his way through each day, focusing only on work and family, while hanging out with his best friend, Emmy.
The sum equivalent of Emmy’s experience with relationships is contained within the pages of the romance novels she writes while sitting at the end of the bar at Pat’s Pub. That is if she doesn’t count the secret crush she’s been harboring for Padraig since the first day she laid eyes on him.
When Padraig realizes he’s in love with Emmy, they fall into each other’s arms. However, adversity strikes and Padraig–terrified of loving and losing again–pushes Emmy away. It will take the combined romantic efforts of the entire Collins’ family to help him win the heart of his best friend…and his second chance at happily ever after.

Is it possible for him to find a second chance at love?
Wild Chance is the thirteenth book in the Wilder Irish series. It can be read as a stand alone, but seriously, this whole series is so much richer and means so much more if you’ve read them in order. Padraig and Emmy have been friends for the past three years, but Emmy wants so much more, while Paddy isn’t quite ready to take that next step. But as he sees her starting to date, and with some encouragement from his family, is it possible for him to find a second chance at love?
Oh my heart! This book was so good! There are lighthearted moments, where I practically giggled! There are steamy scenes, where I definitely wanted a tall glass of water! There are so many emotional moments that had me crying and desperate for the characters! But most of all, this book was filled with such a strong connection between first best friends and then into lovers and so much more! Padraig and Emmy are everything together, super swoony, and everything that a romance novel should share. Emmy is so sweet, has the biggest heart, and I love that she was willing to let go of who she loved in order to protect herself and give him what he needed. Padraig is easy to talk to, is so conflicted about what he wants and needs, and I was pleasantly surprised about his more dominant side. I loved them together. I loved that they needed to overcome so much internally in order to have some sort of future together. And I loved that it wasn’t easy, as much as they wanted it to be. I know I’ve missed a few books in this series, in this world honestly, and I definitely plan on going back and reading through the series in order! I loved that I never felt lost in this book with how big this family is, but I just wanted to know more. Such a great, emotional, steamy book filled with so much love!
Wow
I really can’t believe it’s over. I love reading series books because you really get to know the characters pretty deeply even after you finish their particular book so it’s really hard for me when a series ends. This series was pretty great.
Heartwarming and heat
Such a perfect story for two perfect people. Love how Paddy and Emmy both get their HEA and the journey they take to get there….and the heat between the two…whew. Paddy and Mia were always my favorite of the series but this brings it home perfectly. Mia would be proud
