Smut sells.
Michael Rourke learned this the hard way.
Struggling to make ends meet as a mystery writer, he sold his soul - and his pride - as he pedaled sex and lust writing under the pen name Christoph Strong.
No one knew he was the one behind the steamy stories on the bestsellers lists. And he planned to keep it that way.
Until he met her.
Monica Singer, an infamous blogger, is keen to discover the truth of his secret identity.
During a chance meeting at a book convention, Michael and Monica form an instant connection. And soon, an industry rivalry becomes something else entirely.
But as Michael starts to let his guard down, he doesn’t realize that the person he's learning to trust may be hiding secrets of her own.
Secrets that could ultimately destroy everything.

A Fun & Sexy Read
Amalie Silver got my attention. And got it good!
I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book and even got to read it in the early stages. From the original 10k words I was given to read, I wanted more and knew I would LOVE it! And the finished product proved that I was right!
Silver takes the writing industry and turns it upside down in the best way possible. No one is safe...bloggers, fan, writers, agents and everyone in between...get their spotlight in this fabulous story!
It's sexy, funny, charming and unlike anything else I have read lately.
Michael Rourke is a struggling mystery author who turns to writing "smut" because, in his words, "it sells." Swearing it's a one time thing....turns out, he's really good at writing erotica and fans can't get enough! Women love his sexy stories and no one can seem to figure out who he really is, because the Christoph Strong pen name keeps everyone guessing.
Especially Monica Singer.
She's the blogger that seems to have an axe to grind with Mr. Strong. She isn't a fan of his work, although she doesn't seem to hate it. But their worlds collide at a signing in Texas that leaves both of them questioning everything about each other.
I can't express how much I enjoyed Word Play. I'm so impressed with Silver and what she's done here. From the blog posts, to the witty banter - the smeeping to the sexy heat between the two...it was everything I wanted and more.
