One day Admetus who was a king in Thessaly was ill. He caught a fatal disease and he felt himself weaker and weaker. Different doctors couldn’t help him, no one cure was fit. When the hope was gone, people remembered that there was the promise of the Fates to spare the king if some one else would die in his stead. But no one wanted to die instead the king even his best friends. The men said that they preferred to die in a battle.
