Firefighter Griff Bradford craved a calmer life than Dallas had to offer. On the hunt for an escape, he learns of an opening in Rainwater, Texas. Having spent twelve years of his life there, he knew it was just what he was looking for. On a lark he applies and is stunned when he gets offered the job. What shocked him more was seeing his childhood sweetheart in town, looking pretty doggone good all grown up. 


Olivia Anderson, the daughter of Rainwater’s Fire Chief, is sad to see her dad retire. She’s even sadder when she meets the ready-for-a-fireman-calendar man they hired to replace him. How could such a young guy become Chief? Besides, handsomeness didn’t put out fires. It could just be her aversion to young good-looking firefighters, though. Since one left her at the altar like his pants were on fire. After that, she’d sworn off hunky firemen. Even ones she had a puppy love crush on, before knowing what love was.


When wildfires get too close to Rainwater and the town is threatened, Griff jumps into action. As Emergency Services Coordinator, Olivia joins him in the fight to save their town, but when things heat up in Rainwater, can she put her bias aside to trust him?
