Corrosion

As skillful manipulators of our environment, we learned to engineer the foundations of our society through devices of might and grandeur. We invented new technologies, raising our abilities to construct materials into monuments of function and utility. Still, all that we have built may yet one day fall. 

This book examines the natural process known as corrosion.  It explores why corrosion prevention is so important, the various environments most prone to corrosion throughout the United States, and a look at how we might best protect our nation’s infrastructure and military against its effects.
