Mr Bentley, a partner at the prestigious legal firm of Wheelson and Wheelson, runs a department dedicated to providing equal access to the law for the newly arrived demon community on Earth. Human lawyers and their demonic and otherwise paralegals work closely together. The presence of beings from another, more ancient world has its effect on those humans. While Matt finds himself drawn to the demons he works with, Macey is having her whole sex life turned upside down by a mystical being known only as Mr Mercy. Conflict between humans and the recent arrivals is never far away and whether it's a case of possession or the destruction of a Lego display the cases for those at Wheelson and Wheelson mount as they try to balance the hostility directed at them with their need to represent everyone equally. Add to that a Gollum becoming more human and the battle for the construction of a demonic temple and things are about to get out of hand for all of Mr Bentley's team.
