This United States Army doctrine, Field Manual FM 5-0 Planning and Orders Projection November 2024, is the Army’s comprehensive reference manual for planning. It provides an overview of the fundamentals of planning and details the various planning methodologies for planning operations. It is the Army’s doctrinal source for problem solving, the military decision-making process, troop leading procedures, assessment planning, and formats for Army plans and orders.
