Girl-Ships...Navigating Real Friendships Leader's Guide
Descrição da editora
Pre-teen/teen girls struggle with being a real friend. They wonder how to choose their friends wisely. They need the courage to lead rather than follow. They face the challenge of making wise choices against the strong waves of peer pressure. They wonder how they can challenge their friends to do the right thing without being teased or bullied.
Just as a ship moves port to port, girls are moving from childhood to adulthood. It is a time when they start moving from parent influence to peer influence, looking more to their girl-ships (girl friendships) for answers and relying on them as confidants.
The main goal of this study is to help girls 12-16 navigate their girl-ships by becoming the right choice as a friend, choosing friends wisely, and establishing a growing, intimate relationship with the Lord. This will be accomplished by helping them understand how to build solid girl-ships, while also teaching Biblical values that will anchor their character and prepare them to courageously engage life.
This Leader’s Guide provides additional information throughout the book for the leader to use in guiding a group of girls through the study.
